Located in the heart of Centre Wellington, Ontario, the Trailside Medical Centre is home to physicians and allied healthcare practitioners serving Fergus, Elora, and the surrounding area. The building is situated immediately adjacent to the scenic Elora Cataract Trail (from which the building gets its name), and is deeply connected to the natural landscape. In addition to site planning and building design, EDGE Architects also provided Architectural services for interior tenant improvements within the facility including for the Upper Grand Family Health Team, Trail side Pharmacy, Grand River Physiotherapy, and other specialists. Comprised of structural steel and glued-laminated heavy-timber framing and clad in rough-cut stone masonry, the building represents a modern interpretation of the local architectural vernacular.
