With sustainable design as a main objective of the project, the REDECAN corporate headquarters building incorporates a highly insulated building envelope, sophisticated energy efficient variable refrigerant flow heating and cooling systems, a vegetated roof, and large windows and skylights which contribute to bright lightfilled interiors. Featuring exposed structural steel framing and nail-laminated mass timber floor and roof planks the facility represents a modern reinterpretation of traditional warehouse construction to create a state-of-the-art new office environment. The building is planned to be clad in textured precast concrete and smooth finished insulated metal wall panels. Bold aesthetics combined with green design strategies reinforce this ‘growing’ company’s corporate identity and philosophy.
